Disney Dreamlight Valley features several mysterious hidden quests, but few are as intriguing as the search for the Blue Potato. Finding this rare item and gathering its corresponding magical components requires players to navigate hidden paths and explore water-themed locations across the valley. This complete guide outlines where to find the Blue Potato and how to transform it into the powerful Blue Potion.
Starting the Quest and Finding the Blue Potato
To begin this secret objective, you must first ensure that you have already obtained the Golden Potato in your game progress. Once this prerequisite is met, head directly inside Ursula's House to locate the Blue Potato lying on the floor. Picking up this item places it into your inventory, which is required to reveal hidden paths across aquatic environments.
Keeping the Blue Potato in your backpack at all times is essential for the rest of the quest. Without holding this specific item, the invisible water mazes and hidden quest items will remain completely inaccessible. If you accidentally place it in a storage chest or glowing pool early, be sure to retrieve it before continuing.
Locating the Four Secret Blue Items
The first item you need to collect is the Blue Shell, which can be reached by following an invisible water path. Travel to Moana's Realm or Ariel's island area to navigate across the water boundary toward the hidden shell. Carefully walk across the water line until you reach the glowing object.
Next, you must retrieve the Blue Starfish located on the beach where you originally rescued Ariel. Walk along the shore and step onto another invisible water path leading out into the ocean to grab it. After securing the starfish, make your way to the Mystical Cave on Dazzle Beach to locate the Blue Book at the bottom level.
Finding the Final Item and Crafting the Blue Potion
The final component is the Blue Gem, which is hidden deep inside the Vitalys Mines in Sunlit Plateau. Enter the mining tunnels and search for a broken track section with night thorns where a hidden path allows you to walk across to claim the gem. With all four blue items and the Blue Potato in hand, you are ready to complete the ritual.
Return to the glowing shimmering pool located inside the Vitalys Mines with all five items in your inventory. Interact with the pool and transfer every required item into the container slots to receive the Blue Potion. This special potion serves as a crucial ingredient alongside other colored potions to ultimately craft the Rainbow Potion.
